Poem: An evening apparition

Tonight the wind, as oracle,
sends a strong,
but silent message –
a message that bends
the pines and aspens
with the power of its meaning

The lake lies sombre
and still, observing,
while the clouds, dark,
ominous, and quiet,
sense the story
and restrain
their restless thunder

All listen and wait,
while the moon,
as messenger, rises
to illuminate the vision

Notes: This poem is an effort in my personal creative writing experimenting process to convey an image I had tried to describe in a separate and longer short story as well as in an earlier poem.
